The best and the brightest

Ninety percent of our staff augmentation business is repeat business. Why? What makes StoneHenge people so special that our clients keep coming back for more?

This question was posed to me several times this past week during the latest wave of new employee orientations. The audience was the newest additions to the company's senior management team and they all wanted to know how this was possible considering today's business climate.

I told them the answer was simple. We only hire the best and brightest talent. It's our process that sets us apart from the competition.

Everything begins and ends with the StoneHenge recruiting process. We take an active approach by identifying key players in the markets we are targeting. The vast majority of our candidates are currently working but are under employed. They are contacted directly by our recruiters and invited to meet with us in person to discuss the career building opportunities available at StoneHenge.

We try to involve as many people as practical in the interview process and include representatives from HR, Technical Services, Sales, Marketing, and Senior Management in the discussions. Even the President of the company gets involved and insists on meeting everyone prior to extending an offer. This gives all parties involved an opportunity to gather information and make an informed decision. We want everyone to be crystal clear on the facts and by spending more time up front we avoid potential problems down the road. This whole process usually runs several weeks.

During the interview process, we dig deep and look for a match to the company's Ideal Candidate Profile which includes technical expertise in one or more of our service offerings, plus high levels of:

  • Brains
  • Warmth
  • Intensity
  • Professionalism

Simply put, we want employees that are technically sharp, well organized in their thought process, likeable, focused, and have great communication skills.

Finalists then undergo a mandatory drug screen, criminal background check, and professional reference check.

Each StoneHenge recruit must successfully complete this comprehensive five level interview process prior to receiving an offer.

Statistically, only one out of ten makes the cut so by the time a candidate reaches the finish line they are truly one of the best and the brightest resources around. That's the reason why StoneHenge customers keep coming back for more.
